AQSA HALF DAY SEMINAR - SERIES 1

AQSA in collaboration with MATRADE has organized a webinar focussing on the opportunities to export Quantity Surveying services to ASEAN countries. The aim is to share strategies and pathway through initiative from MATRADE in going aboard for business venture in ASEAN. The webinar talk was delivered by AQSA President, Dato’ Sr Aziz Abdullah and MATRADE Director of Construction Business Datin Rusiah Mohamed.  The webinar also featured panelist session to discuss and share some of the experiences of exporting QS services aboard alongside the challenges. Panelist for the session were Dato’ Sr Aziz Abdullah, Datin Rusiah Mohamed,  Sr Kwan Hock Hai and Sr Dr Ong Lian, moderated by Assoc. Prof. Sr Dr Sarajul Fikri. A total of 200 participants attended the webinar with 2 CPD points awarded by the Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia (BQSM).
MOU SIGNING WITH UTM SPACE

AQSA achieved another milestones for the 2021 with another Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with UTM Space. The MoU signing has enabled a joint collaboration for venturing Quantity Surveying educational services for ASEAN countries through AQSA platform with UTMSpace as service provider. The signing ceremony as was held at UTM Space Jalan Semarak on 25th March 2021 where the signatories of the MoU includes Dato’ Sr Aziz Abdullah (AQSA President), Prof. Sr Ghani Abdul Khalid (AQSA Secretary General) & UTM Space CEO Prof Dr. Azlan b. Abdul Rahman.
AQSA MOU VIRTUAL SIGNING CEREMONY

AQSA begin its mission with a good start in signing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ASEAN based Quantity Surveying Professional bodies. The aim of the MoU is to seal collaborative effort to promote and provide streamline platform for the cross border Quantity Surveying services and education. The signing of the MoU will enable Quantity Surveyors practices to have broader access to provide services and education to ASEAN with host countries act as intermediaries for the initiative. The ceremony were hosted by the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB), the signatories for the MoU are as follows:

MATRADE ENGAGEMENT
February 3, 2020
AQSA take the first step for engagement with the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE). A discussion was held virtually between AQSA Committee and MATRADE led by the Director, Construction Business Development, Datin Rusiah Mohamed who shares some of the key initiatives offered by  MATRADE in promoting construction services abroad. The engagement has enabled opportunities for Quantity Surveying services to benefit from MATRADE initiative where support services, grants and assistance up for grab. AQSA extended our interest in collaborating with MATRADE to coordinate with the promotion of QS services through MATRADE platform.
